Why is a regular service so important?

Deterioration

Your oil starts out a beautiful golden colour made up of several additives that target different areas of the engine. Over time the high temperatures of the engine cause the oil to deteriorate, changing the viscosity and making it a black gritty substance. This is when it starts causing wear on the engine. Important News: New vehicles use thinner oils with an actual lifespan of 9-12 months, not 48 as per manufactuer claims. This makes an annual service even more important.
